The Manager of Business Development will be responsible for prospecting, conducting outreach, and articulating Digital Media Solutions’ value proposition within the marketing industry to schedule appointments with key decision makers at national direct-to-consumer brands. The Manager of Business Development will work closely with company division heads and Senior Level Sales representatives to negotiate, close and onboard new digital marketing clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Source new sales opportunities through prospecting and a high volume of outbound cold calling and emailing
  • Develop a strong command of Digital Media Solutions’ divisions and services to qualify opportunities and determine appropriate solutions to fit an advertisers specific needs
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate divisions and sales executives for further development
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Maintain an active pipeline while continuously expanding a list of new prospects
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of current industry trends, including target advertisers & competition
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 0-2 years of business development/sales experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite- Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, etc.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to present information to small groups

Also a plus:

  • Inside sales experience with a track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong phone presence and experience conducting a high-volume of cold calls
  • Previous experience working with Salesforce.com
  • Knowledgeable of corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • A current book of business with existing industry and brand contacts
  • Knowledge of effectively managing and reporting on individual sales pipeline in order to hit monthly and quarterly sales quotas
