Reports to: Sr. Director of Finance

Location: Remote USA, excluding Colorado


The Manager of Accounts Receivable (AR) is responsible for managing the AR team along with overseeing the AR workflow including but not limited to: billing, credit & rebill, collections and payment applications. The incumbent is an exceptional leader, with a high level of attention to detail, and is expected to meet deadlines and department KPIs in order to maintain the financial health and success of Digital Media Solutions.

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversees the full cycle of Accounts Receivable (AR) workflow (billing, credit & rebill, collections and payment applications) to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and meets other KPIs
  • Reviews AR reports to ensure the proper reporting data and trends are collected in order to present to the greater Finance/Accounting management team
  • Oversees monthly AR close, account reconciliation, AR subledger to GL, and external reporting activities are completed with timeliness and accuracy
  • Ensures all Accounts Receivable information is entered and accurate to meet month end deadlines
  • Oversees the proper extraction, analysis and reconciling of high volumes of divisional data in order to identify any data integrity issues before importing the network invoicing
  • Aids as a source of reference for troubleshooting problems with missing/delayed claims and initiating appropriate collection action; Reviews and improves policies and procedures, to address issues
  • Ensures the department meets billing compliance and customer reporting requirements, and is kept up to date with compliance laws
  • Maintains federal and state compliance, and understands proper IRS tax documents and plans
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, which adhere to SEC and GAAP regulations as a Public company
  • Acts as a mentor for direct reports, providing coaching sessions, 1:1 meetings and issuing disciplinary documentation when necessary
  • Has the ability to confidently present data and reporting for executives, C-Suites, Board of directors and outside partners
  • Looks for areas of opportunity and process improvements to improve the overall financial health of the organization
  • Coordinates with annual audit and quarterly review for audit requests, documentation and support
  • Provides ad hoc reporting and analysis as necessary
  • 5+ years of accounting experience with a focus on Accounts Receivable (AR), with at least 3 - 5 years of management experience
  • Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfortable dealing with large volumes of data
  • Ability to work well under deadlines and impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills, including proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality
  • This position can be performed from anywhere in the United States, except Colorado


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Experience working in a publicly traded organization
  • Proficient in Netsuite
